A PLACE TO BEGIN
Astrology for Beginners
You do not need to know astrology to begin. Start with one part of your chart and one question you care about. You can learn the vocabulary as you go.
Start with Sun, Moon, and Rising
Astrologers often use the Sun to explore identity, the Moon to explore emotional needs, and the Rising sign to explore how you meet the world. These are starting points, not a complete description of a person.
Planets, signs, houses, and aspects
Think of planets as themes, signs as styles of expression, and houses as areas of life. Aspects describe angular relationships between chart placements. Learn one term at a time and look for its place in your own chart.
Ask a grounded question
Try “What does my Moon placement mean?” or “How can I begin reading this chart?” Moving Stars includes beginner guides and available placement explanations, plus three one-time welcome AI questions on a free account.
Make room for your own perspective
Notice what resonates and what does not. Astrology and AI interpretations can offer a reflective language, but they do not determine who you are or what you must do. Return to the parts that help you ask better questions.
